Why this gathering matters
Many people want to support our leaders and pray for the nation, but need a clear, welcoming way to take part. The Australian National Prayer Breakfast creates that moment: a trusted, bipartisan, interdenominational gathering where communities pause together for wisdom, unity, and the common good.
Choose how you will joinA national moment in motion
A national breakfast creates space for leaders and communities to begin with humility.
We ask for courage, compassion, and clear judgment for all who serve the nation.
Across political, personal, and denominational lines, Australians gather around hope.
Highlights of National Prayer Breakfast 2025

Our 2025 Speaker
The theme for 2025 was "Rejoicing in Hope," finding expression in The First Hymn, the oldest known Christian hymn with musical notation. Dr John Dickson and the Undeceptions team helped bring this extraordinary witness to life with Chris Tomlin and Ben Fielding.

St Edmund's College Gospel Choir
Blending traditional gospel with contemporary worship, the choir brought rich harmonies and vibrant energy under the leadership of Musical Directors Rachel Rasmussen and Leanne Thomas.

Supporting our Leaders
Leaders from across the political spectrum, of different faiths or none, come together over breakfast as we pray for God's blessing on all who serve our great country. The Prayer Breakfast is not tied to any denomination. It springs from Jesus' call to love God and to love our neighbour without exception.
This gathering reminds us that public life is a sacred trust, and love must guide how we serve, lead, and live together. Prayer becomes a bridge between private belief and public action, uniting Australians across all backgrounds.
Attendees comments
What a privilege and joy to be part of the National Prayer Breakfast this morning. Thank you for the enormous effort bringing the morning to fulfilment, a splendid time of togetherness, uniting God's people in prayer for our nation, parliament, and politicians.
John's message, the First Hymn, and the music delightfully sung by the St Edmund's College Gospel Choir, were all eagerly received.
